During my spring semester in 2010 I took Health Related Fitness (PED 182), which taught the value of fitness. During the class we tested ourselves on endurance, flexibility, and muscular endurance. To do this I ran the pacer test, the mile, sit and reach, and other various tests to get the results we needed. After getting our results we were required to make our own fitness plans to follow depending on what we feel we should improve. My plan is one that I follow with few variations, and has worked for me. This class taught me a lot about my own physical fitness, and how to implement fitness into a classroom. Many times fitness is used as punishment, for instance taking laps and running miles. I believe that fitness should be a positive thing because of the benefits it brings.
